Let's talk about the heat treatment of heavy forgings directly after forging by using the heat of forgings themselves. That is, the process of reheating forgings before heat treatment after forging is omitted from the heat treatment of forgings. Generally, there are several methods of heat treatment by waste heat.
1、 After forging, conduct residual heat soaking heat treatment. After forming, the forgings are directly sent to the heat treatment furnace, which is still carried out according to the conventional heat treatment process. After homogenizing, the temperature of different parts of the forgings can shorten the holding time. This method is called waste heat homogenizing heat treatment. For the forgings with complex shape and large section change, the quality of forgings can be stable by using this process.
2、 Direct waste heat heat treatment after forging. After forging is formed, the forging waste heat is directly used for heat treatment, which closely combines forging and heat treatment, saving a lot of energy consumption waste caused by reheating of ordinary heat treatment.
3、 After forging, use part of the waste heat for heat treatment. After forming, the forgings shall be cooled to about 600~650 ℃, and then heated to the required temperature for heat treatment. This method can refine the grains and save the energy consumption of heating forgings from room temperature to 600~650 ℃. It is generally applicable to forgings with high requirements for grain size. A large number of application examples show that, through reasonable control of cooling parameters after forging forming, the structure and properties of forgings after heat treatment with residual heat can reach the level of ordinary heat treatment, with good process stability and reproducibility. The waste heat is used for heat treatment, which saves the heating procedure in the heat treatment process, saves energy, and the investment and maintenance cost of heat treatment equipment. Forging industry is a major energy consumer, and forging heat treatment is a major energy consumer in forging production, accounting for 30%~35% of the total energy consumption in the whole forging production. The energy consumption of forgings accounts for about 8%~10% of the cost of forgings. The energy consumption cannot meet the production cost of forgings. The economic benefits of enterprises. In addition, the energy problem is a major issue related to sustainable development and survival. Therefore, it is obvious to use forging waste heat for heat treatment in terms of energy saving, consumption reduction, efficiency, etc., which not only saves energy, shortens the process flow, but also protects the environment.

Main differences between big gear and sprocket
Chain wheel is one of the big gears. It is not the direct cogging of wheels, but the mutual cogging of wheels and chains. Therefore, the processing requirements are much lower. Next, let's briefly share the difference between gears and sprockets.
Development status and trend of precision forging technology for spur gears

Forging is the use of forging machinery to exert pressure on metal blanks
Forging is a processing method that uses forging machinery to exert pressure on metal blank to make it produce plastic deformation to obtain forgings with certain mechanical properties, certain shapes and sizes. Forging (forging and stamping) is one of the two major components.
What are the requirements for the materials used for forged parts?
The materials for forgings are mainly carbon steel and alloy steel of various compositions, followed by aluminum, magnesium, copper, titanium, etc. and their alloys. The original state of materials includes bar stock, ingot, metal powder and liquid metal. The ratio of cross sectional area of metal before deformation to that after deformation is called forging ratio. The correct selection of forging ratio, reasonable heating temperature and holding time, reasonable initial and final forging temperature, reasonable deformation amount and deformation speed have a great relationship to improve product quality and reduce cost.
In modern pressure processing, for the production of large round forgings, roll rolling mill (reamer) can be used for roll forging forming, which has the advantages of accurate size, high production efficiency, good quality of forgings, etc. In the absence of production conditions for roll forging, it can be formed by expanding holes on a free forging hammer or hydraulic press with a horse stand.
